The ancient Chinese skills of Taiji (tai chi), Qigong & Kung Fu are justly famous for promoting health, relaxation, serenity, balance, co-ordination, confidence and inner energy. The Norfolk Fei-Yan Taiji & Qigong School is committed to teaching these wonderful skills iin a way that makes them accessible - and enjoyable - to all.

We do our best to combine an exceptionally high level of teaching with an equally high level of compassion and humanity. If you value sincerity, patience and laughter you’ll find our classes a very enjoyable experience. We don’t rush through exercises and routines and tick them off our list in the quest for some imagined perfection but constantly revisit them to renew their acquaintance and refresh our understanding and interpretation of them. We learn and grow together.

The staff is one of the most basic yet challenging and entertaining weapons to work with in Chinese martial arts. The Ancestral Forest staff routine is a fairly lengthy form, full of jumps, turns and twirls - and a few surprises! It will improve not only your skill with the Kwon, the staff, but also your co-ordination, suppleness and stamina. All the moves have an easy and difficult option so may be performed by all students, whatever their ability. Space restrictions in class make it difficult to teach the staff so take this opportunity to introduce yourself to this fascinating routine now!
